Let me American Express Myself–I bought a CAR
Check it out:
My Lex:
It was only $60K, I paid it with my new AMEX card. (waiting for the car title) I have a 0% introductory rate. So I will pay AMEX $1700 a month for 4 years.

Ohhh you ALMOST got me on that one! Happy April Fools.

If it were anyone but you I might have believed it :-p
Besides, most car dealerships will only let you put $5K on a CC. I would have LOVED to have been able to put our car on our Amex. That’s a lot of FF miles

I knew this was a joke after reading the title. Nice pics though. LOL
@ gecko – Unless that is a new rule, I don’t think that is true. I know two people (excellent credit, large limits > $50k) who have bought cars with their CCs.

@ Single Ma – Maybe it’s dependent upon the dealership. We bought from two different ones and neither would allow us to charge more than $5K on the card. They said that they used to (way back when) but they don’t anymore due to the logistics (i.e. many cards offer double the manufacturer’s warranty on items, etc.).

yeah, you didn’t get me either, but the pictures were a nice touch!

Haha that certainly beats getting an ipod touch!

I can’t believe how stupid I am. I fell for it. I thought – 60K for a car, it is crazy… I didn’t even stop to think about the (im)plausibility of getting 0% for 4 years and charging 60K. Hadn’t noticed April Fool’s reference either.
I hadn’t known I could charge the car. Would’ve gotten one of those 0% offers and left my money on high-yield saving a little longer had I known. Not to mention doubling the warranty with AmEx.

Nice April’s fools joke. The car is pretty though.
You can charge a car to a cc. My cousin did that last year, 30gs+.
