Having an above average income, being respected by your kids/family, creating a good culture around you: family, friends and mentors.
How can you define it? ...having a lot of money in the bank or a lot of cars.
People that have won the lottery or been awarded a lawsuit can instantly have that.
How success is measured? and when do you know you have achieved it?
In Wikipedia, success is defined as:
a level of social status
achievement of an objective/goal
the opposite of failure
I have to go with #2, when you set a goal whether it be financial or otherwise and achieve it, then you are successful.
But for some reason we easily equate success with money! I know money makes the world go around. But there are other ways to be successful as well.
How do you define success???

Doing the best with what you have w/o suffering in the process
Success- is fulfilling any that of goal that you have set for yourself
Planning and staying focus. Whether it be personal or professional
success is happiness
If you are happy with what you are doing and not hurting others in the process, you have reached success
Success is when you are living the vision you create for yourself. It might include assets but its bigger than that. Successful people aren't driven by money they are driven by passion.
Success is getting to do what I have been put on earth to do - regardless of the income potential!
I define success as accomplishing *my* goals based on *my* standards. Some are money relating and some are not. At the end of the day, being able to look back and say...I did THAT! Yea, that's a good feeling.
I believe my definition of success is having people to love that love me; a purpose for my day when I get up; more money coming in my home than is flowing out; and peace in my heart when I go to sleep at night.
Setting a goal and reaching it. Everything else is just how i "feel" (e.g. if i feel i have good friendships, if i feel happy, etc.)
"...being respected by your kids/family, creating a good culture around you: family, friends and mentors" is my definition
Without that I will fill empty regardless of how much money I have
