OK, let's be honest we all at some point rent our lifestyle. There are a small amount of people that actually own their lifestyle. Renting means financing and of course owning is when everything you have is paid in full.
The sofa that you are sitting on, did you purchase it via a credit card and still have the balance on it? That plasma TV is it really paid in full.
Both renting and owning your lifestyle has it advantages.
When you own it, you have the financial freedom and security that no one can take it away from you. To have a car paid for and to lose your job would not stress you out as much.
When you "rent" your lifestyle you get the illusion of owning it up front rather than using all your available funds to completely pay for it.
Either way you have want you want. There are things in my life that I own and there are some things I am still financing.
-I own my car
-I am still paying for my education, although I have graduated long ago.
-I own every household item in my home.
-I am financing my home, I do not own it
-I own the shoes I wear and the clothes in my closet.
Overall, I "own" half of my lifestyle and "rent" the other half. LOL
I would love to own everything in my life, but I just don't have the money for now. I'm glad I have time on my side, that way I can still rent my lifestyle in hopes of owning it in the future. It can sometimes be very hard to completely own your lifestyle, but I work towards that goal everyday.
